Gel Cleansers and Why They're Superior for Sensitive Skin.

Do you want a cleanser that glides over your skin? How about one that's gentle, but still gives your skin a thorough cleanse? I've got you! Here's a little more about gel cleansers and my personal favorites.

Before I get into my top four Gel Cleansers, let me tell you a little bit more about them and why someone might choose to use a gel face cleanser over another type.

1. Deep Cleansing

  • Gel cleansers are designed to penetrate the skin more deeply than cream or oil-based cleansers. They can help remove dirt, oil, and impurities from deep within the pores, leaving the skin feeling refreshed and clean.

2. Oil Control

  • Gel cleansers often have oil-controlling properties, making them ideal for people with oily or combination skin. They help reduce excess sebum production without stripping the skin of essential moisture.

3. Gentle on the Skin

  • Many gel cleansers are formulated to be gentle on the skin, even though they cleanse deeply. This makes them a good option for people with sensitive skin, as long as the formulation is free from harsh chemicals and fragrances.

4. Refreshing Texture

  • The lightweight, cooling texture of gel cleansers can be soothing and refreshing, particularly for people with oily or acne-prone skin. It can help reduce inflammation and redness.

5. Hydration

  • Some gel cleansers are formulated with hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid or aloe vera, which can help maintain the skin's moisture balance. This makes them suitable even for people with dry skin, provided they choose a hydrating formula.

6. Non-Comedogenic

  • Many gel cleansers are non-comedogenic, meaning they won't clog pores. This is especially important for people prone to acne or blackheads.

7. Suitable for Acne-Prone Skin

  • Gel cleansers often contain acne-fighting ingredients like salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide, making them effective for people who struggle with breakouts.

8. Versatile for Different Skin Types

  • Although typically associated with oily or combination skin, gel cleansers come in various formulations tailored for different skin needs, including sensitive and normal skin.

Now that you know the some of the reasons I LOVE Gel Cleaners, here are my personal favorites!

I cannot tell you how much value for your buck with this product! The ingredients are effective while still being gentle and my face has transformed using this product.

This cleanser is super gentle and has niacinamide, which I've recently learned my skin absolutely loves! This one is also sulfate free and so gentle I let me 9-year-old use it!

Another one packed with Niacinamide and Hyaluronic Acid (which will help you retain moisture) and Vitamin C (for brightening your skin).

This cleanser is super unique with Hypochlorous Acid: Naturally produced by the body's immune system, it's anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties help defend your skin from harmful bacteria, reduce redness, and soothe irritation.

No matter which cleanser you choose from my list above, you can't go wrong! If you're overwhelmed with where to start on your skincare routine journey, start with a cleanser and a moisturizer. You've got this!

I absolutely love the Naturium gel cleanser and turned a friend who was suffering with small acne bumps for years. She was using a Clinique face set for acne but after a week of using Naturium, she already has a noticeable difference in her skin!
